HDFC Bank Q2 profit jumps 5% to Rs 16,821 crore – Times of India


NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank‘s net profit rose 5% to Rs 16,821 crore in the quarter ending September 30, compared to Rs 15,976 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The bank’s total income saw an increase, reaching Rs 85,500 crore during the quarter under review, compared to Rs 78,406 crore in the same period last year, as disclosed in a regulatory filing by HDFC Bank.
The bank’s interest income for the quarter stood at Rs 74,017 crore, up from Rs 67,698 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Additionally, net interest income (NII) of the nation’s biggest private lender increased 10% in Q2 FY25, reaching Rs 30,114 crore against Rs 27,385 crore in the same period last year.
However, its gross non-performing assets (NPA) increased to 1.36% from 1.34% while the net NPA rose to 0.41% from 0.35%.
