Reporting to the Test Centre and Test Timings
The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has issued detailed instructions for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination center premises starting at 1:00 PM and must be seated at their designated places in the hall or classroom by 1:30 PM. Entry will not be permitted after 2:15 PM under any circumstances.
The examination will begin promptly at 2:00 PM and will run for a duration of two hours, ending at 4:00 PM. For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Specially Abled Persons (SAP), the test will last for 2 hours and 40 minutes, concluding at 4:40 PM.
Once inside the exam hall, candidates are required to remain seated until the test ends at 4:00 PM. Additionally, the use of washrooms will not be permitted after the test has commenced.
Candidates should note the following test day timings:
- 1:30 PM (Long Bell): Entry into the test hall will begin.
- 1:50 PM (Short Bell): Sealed envelopes will be distributed, and invigilators will announce important instructions.
- 2:00 PM (Long Bell): The test will begin, and candidates will be allowed to open the sealed envelopes.
- 2:15 PM (Short Bell): Entry into the test hall will not be permitted after this time.
- 2:30 PM (Short Bell): This will mark 30 minutes into the test.
- 3:00 PM (Short Bell): This will indicate that 1 hour of the test has been completed.
- 3:30 PM (Short Bell): This will signal that 1.5 hours of the test are complete.
- 3:50 PM (Short Bell): A warning bell will indicate that 10 minutes remain.
- 4:00 PM (Long Bell): This will mark the end of the test. Writing on the OMR sheet or question paper will not be allowed after this bell.

CLAT 2025: Information Regarding OMR Sheet
Here is the detailed information regarding the OMR sheet filling:
- Candidates must answer all questions on the carbonized Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Response Sheet provided with the Question Booklet (QB). It is essential to read the detailed instructions on the OMR Response Sheet before starting the test.
- All responses must be marked exclusively with a black or blue ballpoint pen.
- The first page of the OMR Response Sheet, designated as the Original, must be submitted to the Invigilator at the end of the test.
- The second page, which is the carbonized copy, can be detached along the perforation and retained by the candidate along with the QB after the test concludes.
- The OMR Response Sheet must remain intact and free from folds, tears, or crumples, and it must not be used for rough work. Damaging the sheet will result in invalidation and disqualification.
- Candidates must fully shade the circle corresponding to their selected answer, ensuring no space is left unshaded.
- Leaving a question unanswered or shading a circle incompletely will result in the question being marked as unanswered.
- If more than one circle is shaded for a single question or if stray marks are made on the OMR Response Sheet, it will be interpreted as double marking and counted as an incorrect response.
- At the end of the test, candidates must ensure that the Invigilator signs the designated space on the OMR Response Sheet. Candidates must also sign in the specified area before detaching their copy. Care should be taken while tearing the sheet to avoid damaging the timing marks or barcode.
- Candidates are required to return the original OMR Response Sheet to the Invigilator upon completing the test. Under no circumstances should the original OMR Response Sheet be removed from the test hall or classroom. Doing so will result in disqualification and potential legal action.
CLAT 2025: Important Guideline
Engaging in any form of malpractice during the test will result in immediate disqualification. Acts like impersonation or other fraudulent practices may be treated as criminal offenses, leading to disqualification and legal action. Additionally, candidates with medical conditions must carry their required medication. If an isolated facility is needed due to the nature of their illness, they must inform the Centre Superintendent at least 48 hours before the test.
