UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam 2024 concludes: Check expected result date, previous year cut-off and more | – Times of India

UPPSC Exam 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) PCS Prelims Exam 2024 was conducted on Sunday with only 42% of registered candidates appearing. Out of 5,76,154 applicants, 2,41,212 candidates took the test.
According to UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar, the examination was held peacefully under strict surveillance, including police monitoring and a double-layer security system with separate investigations by agencies. To prevent malpractice, the exam centers were equipped with CCTV cameras, live streaming, and biometric verification, including iris scans, to identify proxies.

UPPSC Exam 2024: Expected result date

While there is no official update on the result date yet, candidates are advised to monitor the UPPSC’s official website for announcements. The answer key is expected to be released a few days before the results.
Initially scheduled for March 17, the PCS Prelims Exam underwent several postponements due to logistical issues and protests in Prayagraj. It was finally conducted on the revised date in December.

UPPSC Exam 2024: Exam structure

The UPPSC PCS selection process comprises three stages: prelims, mains, and interviews. The prelims include two papers—General Studies Paper 1 and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The mains consist of eight papers, covering General Hindi, General English, General Studies, and optional subjects.
