Changi Airport crowned world’s best airport for the 13th time

[SINGAPORE] Changi Airport was named the World’s Best Airport 2025 at the World Airport Awards, Skytrax announced on Thursday (Apr 10). This marks the 13th time that it has claimed the top accolade since the awards began in 2000.

Doha’s Hamad International Airport, the three-time winner, took second place. Meanwhile, Tokyo’s Haneda Airport came in third.

The World Airport Awards, held in Madrid on Apr 9, are based on the World Airport Survey, which evaluates customer experience across more than 565 airports worldwide.

The latest survey gathered feedback from travellers of more than 100 nationalities from August 2024 to February 2025, assessing key service areas such as check in, arrivals, security, shopping and gate departure.

Yam Kum Weng, chief executive officer of Changi Airport Group, said that it was gratifying to receive this recognition and thanked passengers for their vote of confidence. “We’re especially grateful to the Changi Airport community, whose unwavering commitment to service excellence has made this award possible,” he added.

Changi Airport clinched other category awards: World’s Best Airport Dining, World’s Best Airport Washrooms and Best Airport in Asia.
