Sony India MD quits after decade – Times of India


MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India MD N P Singh has decided to step down from his position after being at the helm for a decade. The move comes four months after Sony Pictures pulled the plug on a proposed merger with Zee Entertainment Enterprises.
His last date at the company was not disclosed. Singh is Sony Pictures’ fourth MD after Manjit Singh, Kunal Dasgupta and Arun Arora.The India unit of Japanese giant Sony has started to look for Singh’s successor. Singh, who is in his early sixties, wants to embark on an advisory role.
“I will continue to lead Sony Pictures until we find the right person to take over. We have begun a structured succession planning process for my successor and hope to have exciting news to share in the near future,” Singh said.
