Allahabad University begins application process for 60 PG courses – Times of India



Prayagraj: Allahabad University administration has commenced the admission process for the postgraduate courses for different subjects, available both at the main campus and those in its constituent colleges.
The online applications for admission to 60 postgraduate (PG) courses in AU and constituent colleges started from today. The last date for registration and application submission is June 5.
The applicant can visit the university’s website www.allduniv.ac.in and register themselves through the link of PG admission-2024 (https://aupravesh2024.cbtexam.in) available on the website. The entrance exam would tentatively be held in the third week of June and the results will be declared by the first week of July. Counseling will start from the third week of July.
Students will be admitted in a total of 60 courses under the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGAT) session 2024-25. Of these, 32 courses including LLB, MSc, MCom and LLM will be held under PGAT-1, 24 courses including B.Ed, M.Ed, MBRD and MBA will be held under PGAT-2 along with and four professional courses of Institute of Professional Studies (IPS)- MCA, MSc Food Technology, M.Voc Media Studies and PGDCA.
According to Director of AU admission cell, Prof JK Pati, the entrance examination for all 32 courses of PGAT-1 will be conducted through both online and offline medium. The entrance examination for PGAT-2 and IPS professional courses will be conducted through online mode only.
The examination for PG admission in AU will be held in 11 cities across the country. The entrance examination will be conducted through both offline and online medium in New Delhi and Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Bareilly of Uttar Pradesh. In Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram, the examination will be conducted only through online medium.
The entrance examination for all courses under PGAT 2024-25 will be of maximum 300 marks. In this, 150 multiple choice questions will be asked. There is no minus marking for wrong answers.
Candidates will be able to download the admit card one week before the entrance examination. Without the admit card and original identity card, the applicant will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.
Applicants will not be allowed to appear in any examination center other than the allotted examination center under any circumstances, says the director admissions.
