Bihar Board Inter Class 12 Result: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially declared the results of the Intermediate (Class 12) Annual Examination for the year 2025. The announcement was made on March 25, 2025, by the Minister for the Education Department of Bihar, Mr Sunil Kumar. The result is available for all students who appeared in the Bihar Board Class 12 Exams 2024. Mr Kumar, along with Dr. S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, and Mr Anand Kishore, Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, addressed the media during the result declaration ceremony. This year marks another milestone in Bihar’s examination system as the results were announced well within a month of evaluation, further solidifying the board’s efficient handling of the examination process.
Result statistics and passing percentages
The Bihar Board has reported a passing percentage of 86.50% for the 2025 Intermediate Annual Examination. This percentage includes students from various streams, such as Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational. The exam results were released after a thorough evaluation process, which began on February 27, 2025, following the conclusion of the exams on February 15, 2025. In total, over 12.8 lakh students appeared for the exams, with more than 68 lakh answer sheets and OMR sheets being evaluated within 27 days, marking a national record in the speed of result declaration.
This year, the Bihar School Examination Board has continued its tradition of releasing results early compared to other educational boards across the country, a practice that has been consistent since 2019. This achievement is attributed to the board’s adoption of modern technology and the reforms that have been put in place to streamline the examination and result processing systems.
Top performers of the 2025 Bihar Inter exams
The top positions in the Bihar Board Inter exams have been claimed by students from all three major streams, and notably, girl students have excelled across the board.
Science Stream
Priya Jaiswal has emerged as the state topper in the Science stream with an impressive score of 484 marks, which is equivalent to 96.80%.
Arts Stream
In the Arts stream, the top position has been shared by two students: Ankita Kumari and Shakib Shah. Both students secured 473 marks, which equals a percentage of 94.60%.
Commerce Stream
Raushani Kumari has topped the Commerce stream, securing 475 marks, or 95%.

Gender-specific performance trends
The result also highlights the continued success of girl students in the Bihar Board exams. In fact, the pass percentage for female candidates has outperformed that of male students across all three faculties. The gender-wise passing percentages are as follows:
• In the Science Faculty, 91.29% of girls passed, compared to 88.63% of boys.
• In the Commerce Faculty, an impressive 97% of girls passed, while 93.62% of boys managed to pass.
• In the Arts Faculty, 85.04% of girls passed, while only 78.94% of boys succeeded.
This upward trend among female candidates can be attributed to the various government initiatives aimed at promoting female education in the state. Schemes like the Mukhyamantri Balika Cycle Yojana, Bihar Shatabdi Mukhyamantri Balika Poshak Yojana, and others have played a significant role in encouraging more girls to pursue their education and excel in it.
