Scholarships offered by IIM Ahmedabad
IIMA provides need-based scholarships in addition to those funded by alumni, industry, and the government.
IIMA Special Need-Based Scholarships: This scholarship is available to students admitted to the two-year postgraduate programs (PGP & PGP-FABM) whose gross annual family income is below Rs 15 lakh. The institute determines the financial assistance required for each applicant based on an assessment of their economic status, evaluated through criteria such as movable and immovable family assets, the number of dependents, and any other relevant factors.
IIMA Exit Scholarships: The institute has introduced the following scholarships to help pay off part of the bank loans taken by students for their studies at IIMA:
- Scholarships for students pursuing entrepreneurship: To encourage graduating students to become entrepreneurs, the institute provides a monthly stipend of INR 40,000 for up to three consecutive years to two students from each batch. Applicants must opt out of placement and have a business plan.
- Scholarships for students joining “Not-for-Profit” organizations: To promote careers in “Not-for-Profit” organizations, two students from each batch will receive this scholarship for up to three consecutive years. The scholarship amount ranges between INR 3 to 4 lakh per year per student.
