MUMBAI: Low-cost carrier IndiGo has launched two flights connecting beach destinations to cities, with the first launch happening this past weekend with flights from Mumbai to Seychelles and the other on set to happen on April 1 when the airline will have direct flights connecting Bhubaneshwar and Goa.
The flight to Goa from the east coast of India is “designed to cater to the growing demand for air travel in India, while promoting tourism and economic growth”, the airline said. With the commencement of these flights, IndiGo will now operate, over 200 weekly flights from Bhubaneshwar connecting 20 destinations. The flights between Bhubaneshwar and Goa will be operated on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

But for travelers from Mumbai, the latest beach destination to be connected via non-stop flights is Seychelles. The four-weekly flights will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. IndiGo currently operates over 1300 weekly departures from Mumbai and connecting over 75 destinations.
