Kerala VHSE admission 2024: The Directorate General of Education (DGE) Kerala is set to conclude the online application round for Kerala Plus One and Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) admissions 2024 tomorrow, on May 24 at 5PM. Check eligibility, how to apply online and more.
What is the required eligibility?
Applicants must have at least a ‘D+’ grade in SSLC/Class 10/equivalent exams. CBSE students will be considered for the main allotment only if they passed the board exam. For CBSE exams prior to 2018, parents or guardians must provide an affidavit on Rs 50 stamp paper as proof, as detailed in Appendix 9.
CBSE students who passed the school-level exam will be considered for admission to vacancies after the main allotment. Those wishing to join combinations with Mathematics in plus-one must have passed ‘Mathematics standard.’
Ranks are determined by the WGPA (Weightage Grade Point Average) system based on Class 10 marks. Selection and allotment will be processed through a computer program considering rank, applicant choices, and available seats. Applicants must be aged 15-20 years as of June 1, 2024, with an upper age limit of 22 years for scheduled category students and 25 years for visually impaired, hearing impaired, and mentally challenged applicants.
There is no upper age limit for students who cleared the exam conducted by the Kerala Board of Public Examinations. Students from other boards may obtain up to a six-month relaxation in age limits from the Director of General Education.
