POK will be in India after BJP wins polls, UP CM Yogi says in Maharashtra | India News – Times of India

MUMBAI: UP CM Yogi Adityanath, who BJP chose to woo north Indian voters in Nalasopara assembly segment – the largest voter base in Palghar Lok Sabha constituency – on the final day of campaigning for the fifth phase, said “Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) will also be a part of India after they win elections“.
Amid chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, the ‘demolition baba’, as Yogi was referred to by speakers on the stage, said PM Modi will get a third term and they will cross the 400-mark.
Sensing the pulse of the crowd, speakers, be it candidate Dr Hemant Savara or sitting MP Rajendra Gavit, spoke in Hindi. Every speaker ensured slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ were accompanied with the public being encouraged to raise their hands.
The UP CM said last time BJP candidate Gavit had won the seat, “this time, make sure that Hemant Savara also joins Modi’s team at the centre.” Hitting out at Congress, he said Mahatma Gandhi wanted the party to be dissolved, but here, Congress wanted to introduce an inheritance tax.
Yogi has addressed 144 election programmes, including 111 public meetings, in just 49 days this LS election season as one of BJP’s star campaigners.
The UP CM has been addressing at least three to four meetings daily. As many as six are scheduled in UP on Sunday ahead of the fifth phase of elections on Monday.
