The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notice regarding the Tier 2 Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination scheduled for January 20, 2025. In compliance with an order from the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Principal Bench, 525 additional candidates from the CGL examination have been permitted to appear for Tier-II.
Earlier, SSC released the CGL Tier 1 result on December 5, 2024.

However, following the court order, SSC has issued a revised Tier 1 result and updated cut-offs for List-3 posts. A total of 18,436 candidates were shortlisted in List-1 (Junior Statistical Officer), 2,833 candidates in List-2 (Statistical Investigator Gr. II), and 1,65,240 candidates in List-3 (for all other posts) to appear in Tier-II.
The official notice reads, ‘Now, in compliance of Order dated 16.01.2025 in OA No. 474/2025 and Order dated 17.01.2025 in OA No. 239/2025 passed by Ld. CAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi, a total of 25+500=525 candidates of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2024 are being allowed to appear provisionally subject to outcome of the above mentioned OAs, in Tier-II of examination to be conducted on 20th January, 2025.’
Revised cut off
609 additional candidates who have met the above cut-off have been shortlisted to appear in Tier-II of the examination on January 20, 2025, reads the official notice.
The admit cards for the additional candidates will be released today, January 18, 2025.
