Candidates who have not yet selected their preferred examination slots can do so through the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in before the window closes.This year, SSC has introduced a self slot selection feature, allowing candidates to choose their preferred examination city, date, and shift from the available options. To access this facility, candidates must log in to their registered accounts on the official portal using their credentials.After logging in, they will be able to view available slots based on the three cities selected during the application process. Candidates can follow the steps below to select their slots for the Tier I examination:
- Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.gov.in
- Click on the ‘Login’ tab and enter your registration number and password.
- Once logged in, choose your preferred examination city from the options shown.
- Select the desired date and shift, then click on ‘Submit’.
- Download the confirmation page and keep a printed copy for future reference.

SSC CHSL 2025: Exam details
The Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2025 Tier I is scheduled to be held on November 12, 2025. The test will comprise Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions and will be conducted in English, Hindi, and any other regional language opted by the candidate in the application form. The total duration of the examination will be 60 minutes, and there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect response.
