The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has announced that all government, government-aided, and private schools in the state will reopen on Monday, October 7th, following the completion of the quarterly examinations. This decision extends the holiday period, initially set to end on October 3rd, providing students with additional time to prepare and recharge.
The quarterly examinations, a significant academic event for students in classes 6 to 12, began on September 20th.For students in grades 11 and 12, the exams started on September 19th and will conclude on September 27th. Meanwhile, students in grades 6 to 10 will have their exams from September 20th to 27th. The extended holiday period from September 28th to October 6th aims to give students ample time to rest and focus on their studies.
The department’s statement emphasized that the extension applies to all primary, middle, high, and higher secondary schools under its jurisdiction. This move is expected to benefit students by allowing them to return to their academic routines with renewed energy and focus.
